Before you pay for a repair or a new unit, rule out the cheap causes:
- Power. Confirm the outlet works, and press the reset button on the plug if it has one.
- Filter. Clean or replace it. A clogged filter is a leading cause of weak cooling.
- Coils and vents. Clear dust from the back coils and the front vents.
